Wednesday 13th December 2023 @ 2.00pm Hybrid Meeting.
An introduction to key ethical terms, their meaning and application.
Ethics is a significant part of IOSH’s new Blueprint, so this talk will assist in understanding more of this subject.
Simon Cassin will be presenting virtually but you are welcome to join us in person at the Vivian Hall, Dylan Dylan Thomas Centre, University of Wales Trinity St Davids for networking and discussion.
Session overview:
The session will involve an interactive discussion of the meaning and application of key ethical terms and concepts. Questions to be explored include whether the ends justify the means, what constitutes harm, and whether we have a right to be safe at work. Simon will argue that a core aspect of professionalism relates to ethical practice, and we can only hope to be viewed as a profession through the development of ethical reasoning skills.
