Virtual Meeting -Wednesday 25th November 2020 at 2.00 pm. How Industry Dealt with Covid-19 and What can we Learn.

The Covid-19 pandemic has certainly been a challenge both professionally and personally. As a safety professional, I’ll say this quietly, it has been very enjoyable as we have been faced with numerous trials and I will portray some of these and share experiences.

Wall Colmonoy has remained open and I’ve been working on this continually since the middle of February and updating our controls and advice on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. It started off with understanding Covid-19, looking at travel with our external sales team and then extending the advice to employees during the ski season through to on-site control, home working, self-isolations, managing essential contractors, budget controls and returns to work. It has been very interesting times to be a practitioner with lots to learn plus using existing skills around communication, listening and also some of the transferable skills gleaned over the years. So in summary; tough times but CPD heaven.
